A Native American Prayer

Written by a Pueblo Indian

“Hold On”

I will hond on to what is good

And I will hold on to what I believe

Even when it is a tree which stands by itself.

And I will hold on to what I must do,

even if it is a long way from here.

I will hold on to life, even when it is easier to let go.

Please hold on to my hand, even when I have gone away from you.”
